SERIES B AND LATER
Tallinn-based Blackwall raises €45 million to build AI-powered security infrastructure

🇪🇪 Tallinn-based Blackwall, an AI-enabled security and web infrastructure company, has succesfully raised a €45 million Series B funding round.

Let me start by reminding our audience that Estonia, with a population of only 1.37 million people, has given ‘birth’ to 10 unicorns. That means there is one unicorn for every 137k inhabitants. Just to put this number in perspective, Spain has one unicorn for every 6.9 million people. It’s cra-zy. 🤯

Founded in 2019 by Nikita Rozenberg (CEO) and Denis Prochko (CTO), Blackwall defends ‘web ecosystems’ from malicious bots and is used on over 2.3 million websites and applications.

This startup is targeting underserved SMBs and is mainly growing through partnerships with Hosting Services Providers (HSPs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and eCommerce Platforms. In my opinion, this is a smart move since it helps reduce go-to-market costs—one of the main challenges when targeting SMBs. 🚀

🇩🇪 Cologne-based VYTAL Global GmbH, a leading provider of smart reusable packaging solutions, has raised €14.2 million.

🇩🇪 Berlin-based Dance, an e-bike and moped subscription company, has secured €12 million in equity and debt funding.

🇪🇸 Madrid-based SaaS startup flowww, a platform for aesthetic medicine, beauty, and healthcare businesses, has raised €4 million.

SERIES A
UK-based Strolll raises €12.2 million to use augmented reality for patient neurorehabilitation

🇬🇧 Stafford-based Strolll, a startup using augmented reality (AR) glasses to provide neurorehabilitation to patients living with neurological disorders, has succesfully raised €12.2 million.

This startup was founded by Tom Finn in 2019, with Jorgen Ellis joining as Co-founder and CEO in 2020. Ellis, who previously founded Flatpack Global at 17, successfully exited the company in 2019 after securing major partnerships with IKEA.

Strolll uses AR glasses to help patients with Parkinson’s, stroke, and MS by blending digital content with the real world. Its technology gamifies proven physiotherapy exercises, offering seven clinician-designed games to maximize rehabilitation impact. The platform supports both in-clinic and at-home therapy, increasing access to treatment beyond standard care. Quite cool!

With Strolll’s technology, healthcare providers can deliver up to 7x more treatments while reducing staff time by 67%. The company has 35 employees and is actively working on projects in the US and UK, with a total value exceeding $5 million.

SEED
Munich-based Reshape Energy raises €5 million to expand its all-in-one energy optimization platform

🇩🇪 Munich-based Reshape Energy, a startup helping property owners and their tenants to reduce costs and achieve sustainability targets, has secured €5 million in funding.

Founded in 2024, this startup is building a platform that integrates assessment, planning, financing, implementation, and the ongoing management and optimization of energy services. It looks like they’re aiming to create a true one-stop shop for energy solutions.

Despite being a very young company, they have already acquired an energy consulting business as well as a commercial solar planning, installation, and maintenance company. This suggests they are primarily pursuing growth through acquisitions, which is also a fair (but capital-intensive) way to grow a startup. 🚀

Their founding team includes six people, some of whom bring extensive expertise in the energy sector.
