SERIES B AND LATER
Vienna-based Prewave raises €63 million Series B to deliver supply chain superintelligence for compliance
🇦🇹 Prewave, an AI-enabled sustainability, risk and compliance platform, has raised €63 million in its Series B funding round, led by the global investment firm Hedosophia.
I think this startup is targeting a very interesting market. According to the following report, supply chain disruptions are estimated to cost businesses 6-10% of their annual revenue, which is a lot.
This tells me that companies facing supply chain challenges will have a strong incentive to try out new tools that help them tackle these kinds of issues.

More Series B (and later) interesting stories:
🇬🇧 UK-based PortSwigger raises €104.7 million to double down in the web security space.

SERIES A
Berlin-based super-app for families Bling raises €11.2 million to solidify market position
🇩🇪 Bling, Europe’s “first” (yes, everyone claims to be the first) Super-App for families, has successfully completed an €11.2 million Series A funding round.
This startup offers user-friendly, family-oriented digital solutions designed to educate and simplify daily family life in areas such as savings, investments, communications, and security.
Bling started in 2022 as a pocket money card and accompanying app, but quickly evolved into a more holistic platform for families.
Over 150.000 family members are using its platform to simplify daily life in less than two years, which is very nice! However, no revenue numbers are shared in the funding press release.

SEED
AI voice tech startup Synthflow AI raises €6.9 million for no-code phone calls for SMEs
🇩🇪 Berlin-based Synthflow raised a €6.9 million seed round to offer customers AI-generated voice technology for making outbound calls, answering inbound calls, and scheduling appointments.
I think this startup has come up with a very interesting proposal in an industry that will be completely transformed by AI.
Founded in 2023 by serial entrepreneurs Hakob and Albert Astabatsyans and Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, the goal of this startup is to build a no-code platform that allows every business owner to build voice assistants without needing to hire a tech team.

PRE-SEED
Budapest-based Vizzu raises €1.4 million for its data storytelling tool
🇭🇺 Budapest-based startup Vizzu raised €1.4 million after beta-launching its animated data storytelling tool.
I think it’s the first time I’ve encountered the concept of “data storytelling tool”.
According to the press release, “Vizzu allows its customers to immediately transform their data into animated narratives”. It sounds intriguing.
What I still don’t understand from what I can read in the press release is how they plan to compete against the capabilities of spreadsheets, or powerful AIs (such as ChatGPT) that can transform vast amounts of data into easy-to-read summaries.
