Beehiiv attracts €30.8 milllion to make its newsletter publishing platform more sticky
🇺🇸 New York-based Beehiv closed a €30.8 million round to keep expanding its next-generation email newsletter platform.
Since I'm using Beehiiv to write this newsletter, I'm happy to highlight this startup case. According to the funding press release, this company is sending out 1 billion emails per month from around 20.000 active newsletters, with nearly 5 billion people using email globally.
Not bad, right? They should have plenty of room to keep growing.

Madrid-based Indigitall bags €6 million to grow its marketing automation solution in the Spanish-speaking markets
🇪🇸 Indigitall, a company that provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution to personalize digital communications between brands and their customers, has closed an over-subscribed €6M Series A funding round.
According to one of their investors, Indigitall has achieved “triple-digit revenue growth and profitability (!!!) in the past three years.” Indigitall collaborates with over 200 enterprises and has established operations in more than 20 countries. Such an intriguing startup case!

Icelandic startup Prescriby secures €2 million in funding to innovate at the root of the opioid crisis
🇮🇸 Icelandic-Canadian biotech Prescriby has raised €2 million for its treatment management platform for addictive medication.
In the United States alone, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 112.024 drug overdose deaths in the 12 months ending May 2023, showing a significant increase of 2.700 compared to the previous year.
I admire this startup because they're trying to address a problem that, in my opinion, society can't afford to ignore. It's a tragedy.

🇬🇧 London-based Symbe, an AI-powered platform that helps sales teams win more deals by automating the creation of tailored business cases, has raised a €1.4 million pre-seed round.
As one of their investors says: “Every single company in the world is selling something. However, very few companies have explored how AI and machine learning can turbocharge that process by creating tailored business cases”.
I like how this startup is approaching the market. They may discover interesting use cases for their product.
