Who got funded logo

🚀 Welcome to the fifth edition of the Who Got Funded newsletter in 2025.

I'm Onofre—a product manager by day, entrepreneur by night, based in Aarhus (Denmark).

As you know, I dedicate 3–4 hours each week to exploring European startup funding stories and summarizing the most exciting ones for you so you can save some time.

The last two weeks were pretty intense, so I couldn’t send out our newsletter as usual. Sorry about that! ✌️

Thank you for reading. Your support means a ton. 🫶

SERIES B AND LATER
Luminance raises €71.9 million as it doubles down on AI agents for legal sector

🇬🇧 London-based Luminance, a scaleup helping lawyers draw up contracts faster with AI, has just raised €71.9 million in a Series C funding round.

This company automates contract generation and negotiation for enterprise legal departments, and began releasing AI agents — which perform tasks without needing human oversight — towards the end of last year.

As we’ve discussed many times in this newsletter, research suggests that the legal industry is one of the most vulnerable to the AI revolution.

“This funding supercharges our US growth, where 40% of our revenue is already generated, and will fuel key hires and new offices across the US, APAC, and Europe,” says CEO Eleanor Lightbody.

Founded in 2015, Luminance says it now has over 700 companies using its platform in more than 70 countries, including the likes of chip giant AMD, electronics company Hitachi and carmaker Rolls-Royce. It’s always very nice to see European AI companies scaling up fast. We need them. 🙌

SERIES A
Imperia raises €10 million to transform supply chains with its SaaS for manufacturers

🇪🇸 Valencia-based Imperia, a SaaS platform facilitating supply chain management for manufacturers, has just raised over €10 million to expand globally.

Hold on a second… Why does the headline only mention supply chains, and where’s the AI? 😆 Nice to see a non-AI SaaS getting funded!

Álvaro Bernabé, CEO and Co-Founder of Imperia, commented: “During our time as technology consultants, José and I witnessed how many businesses were held back by outdated and manual supply chain processes. Together with Sergio, we founded Imperia to make supply chain digitalization tools accessible to all companies, helping them stay agile, profitable, and prepared for any challenge.”

Founded in 2019, Imperia has developed a comprehensive solution that helps businesses accurately forecast demand, streamline procurement processes, and optimise production planning. Companies such as ArmRest, Noel Alimentaria, Siemens Energy, and Faes Farma are already customers of this startup. Really nice! 🚀

SEED
Stacks, an AI-powered workspace helping companies close their books, raises €6.6 million

🇳🇱 Amsterdam-based Stacks, an AI-powered workspace helping companies close their books, has just announced a €6.6 million seed round. Cool!

Founded in 2024 by Albert Malikov, this startup aims to address a problem that is very simple to understand: the end-of-month crunch that businesses face during book closing (which is usually tedious and resource-intensive process).

Stacks integrates with ERP providers and tools like Excel and Slack. It simplifies compliance, centralizes data, and boosts efficiency with AI-powered transaction matching, data entry, and journal management. Finance teams can even configure AI agents to handle some tasks while staying in full control.

Companies such as Volt, Cleo, Juni, and Genesis are already customers, and according to their feedback, they report a 47% reduction in close time, a 97% decrease in manual reconciliations, and a 33% faster audit cycle.

One thing is clear: AI will disrupt this vertical too. 🚀

PRE-SEED
Level Zero Health raises €6.6 million to enable remote and continuous hormone monitoring

🇬🇧 London-based Level Zero Health, which enables remote hormone monitoring using DNA sensors, has raised €6.6 million in a wonderful pre-seed round.

Wow, €6.6 million in pre-seed funding is no joke! Kudos to this startup, which is led by an experienced founding team: Ula Rustamova, a former Palantir Enterprise Tech Lead and wearable startup founder, and Irene Jia, who developed medical devices at Philips.

Founded in 2023, this startup aims to transform the following paradigm: although hormones play a critical role in our health, clinicians have relied solely on laboratory blood tests (which only capture a single moment in time).

Level Zero Health’s DNA-based sensors detect hormone levels in interstitial fluid – the fluid surrounding cells and tissues. In just under a year, the company has validated its DNA-based sensors in simulated samples across 98% of the human clinical range, reportedly outpacing industry standards.
